Thursday 19th September

Make your way to your accommodation in Capel Curig, where you’ll be staying for the weekend. You’ll be able to check-in from 5pm onwards.

Settle into your new home and get ready for your first day’s riding. If you’ve chosen to hire a bike, we’ll get you set up this afternoon so you’re ready for tomorrow’s ride.

Optional:

Full suspension mountain bikes are available to hire for the weekend. Typically our hire bikes are a Nukeproof Mega 275 or similar.
Cost: £225 per bike

You’ll be staying in a high quality hostel with dormitory style bedrooms, each sleeping up to 6 guests. It’s a traditional Welsh stone building, featuring slate floors, log burners and comfy sofas – perfect for relaxing after a long day on the saddle. Plus there’s an outdoor decking area with firepit for beers al fresco. The hostel’s social areas are the perfect place to hang out with your new trail mates.

Within walking distance there are a couple of pubs serving homely food and an outdoor centre with a bar that serves food. Betws-Y-Coed is just 5 miles down the road, offering a number of bars, restaurants and cafes. Or if you fancy rustling up your own meal one night, the hostel has a large kitchen for guests to use.

Friday 20th September

You’ll be hitting up the trails right from your hostel door this morning. Your first wild ride is a classic mountain route, taking you straight into big country. Stunning scenery, challenging trails, big mountain views and ancient trails. It’s a real taste of the wild.

You’ll be deep in the heart of epic Snowdonia for the whole day, pausing for a picnic lunch and a chance to catch your breath.

With challenging trails from the start, this is a Welsh classic and delivers a big day out!

Saturday 21st September

Bring out the big guns, it’s Snowdon day! Standing at 1,085m, this is your chance to take on the highest mountain in England and Wales. Getting up there can be brutal – it’s a big ride / push to the top, but it’s worth every moment. Summiting its peak reveals the most magnificent 360 degree views (on a clear day). Soak them up, instagram the proof you were stood on top of the world, then pick up your bike and blast all the way back down that beast!

It’s a spectacular descent all the way back down to the mountain village of Llanberis and a refreshing dip in Llyn Padarn.

It’s another classic Welsh adventure. You’ll have a grin on your face all day long and memories that last a lifetime.

Typically this is done as a very early morning ride to ensure we are off the mountain before 10am, in support of the May-September Voluntary Access Agreement in place on Snowdon. You’ll continue your ride for the rest of the morning but will finish around lunchtime, giving you the afternoon to recover from your early start.

Sunday 22nd September

For your final day of riding you’ll be heading out on more wild trails, straight from the hostel door. Big mountain views and technical descents, there’s a huge choice of trails around here when you know the area as well as our guides. They’ll pack in the best trails from the hostel’s doorstep.

After a day like this, you’ll be wanting to come back for more!

After your ride, you’ll be able to get showered and changed back at the hostel before you make your way home after an epic weekend of mountain biking in North Wales.
