Arrive in Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog ready to check in between 16:00 and 17:00. Settle into your cosy Welsh inn with a delicious welcome dinner at the inn to meet your fellow walkers.

If you require transfers from the train station, airport or ferry port, please contact us to make arrangements prior to travelling.

Saturday

Walking for well-being

After a delicious breakfast at the inn, pull on your walking boots and get ready for a day in the surrounding hills of the Berwyn range.

Your walking guide and mindfulness coach will lead you along quiet country lanes, up rambling wooded paths and across open hillsides. The Berwyn range is a truly wild and beautiful area of North East Wales, rich with wildlife. Look out for Red Kites flying overhead as you hike along the valley. And with a keen eye, you may even spot a leggy hare as it speeds away for cover amongst the dense ferns that fringe the grazing pastures. The hedgerows are filled with wild edible foods throughout the changing seasons and, as you criss cross the river on your walk, enjoy its peaceful babbling soundtrack.

We’ll find a quiet place to sit for lunch, enjoying al fresco dining surrounded by nature.

Over the weekend you will have the option to show your appreciation for your beautiful surroundings and take part in a voluntary trail clean in association with Trash Free Trails.

Mindfulness over matter

Experience the feeling of escapism from the modern world as you explore this remote and beautiful region. As you walk, you’ll learn to let go of the distractions that occupy your mind in daily life. Focusing on one meaningful moment at a time, you’ll learn how to be truly present, using each of your senses to immerse yourself into this new and peaceful world. Discover a sense of reconnection with nature and with yourself that will stay with you long after this weekend.

Log fires and local ales

How better to relax after an invigorating hike in the fresh air, than to relax in front of an open fire with a local tipple in hand. Feel the warm glow in your cheeks as you chat with new friends and share stories from your day. Little is more satisfying, or more tiring, than a day spent in the great outdoors and you’ll have earned your rest this evening.

Enjoy a free evening to dine when you’re ready, whether you choose to stay at the inn or venture over the way to the village’s second popular pub.

Sunday

A new day, a new way

Savour breakfast at the inn this morning with your new sense of calm. Feeling both relaxed and re-energised, you’ll return home with a new found sense of connection to a more mindful life.

Lovely mindfulness weekend in North Wales
Recently returned from a wonderful ‘Mindfulness walking weekend’ in beautiful North Wales. It was an amazing experience all round, from the accommodation to the pleasant company. With the added extra of an evening of star gazing with a local enthusiast.

The mindfulness walking and professional guidance was lovely and calming, with lots tips and tools to takeaway and use in your everyday life.

I would highly recommend this trip for anyone interested in knowing more about mindfulness and putting it into practice while walking in the beautiful peaceful surroundings.

Thanks for a memorable weekend

Really special and memorable
The mindful walk was a really special and memorable day in glorious countryside, and the whole weekend was very enjoyable. Belinda, the mindful walking guide, and Claire from Adventure Tours, were both very warm and friendly, as were the staff at The West Arms. And the food at The West Arms was excellent!

I am not someone who would typically explore mindfulness. I was sceptical about it but am glad I went. The accommodation was great, the hotel staff very helpful. Claire was lovely company and really passionate about delivering the best experience for us, and Belinda, the mindful coach, made the mindful walking a really fun and interesting activity as well as delivering all the benefits that mindfulness has to offer. I cannot recommend this activity and this company enough! If you’re thinking about booking a break with them just do it!!

At Adventure Tours UK, we set out to create the kind of breaks people like us go wild for. People who get their thrills in the outdoors and want to care for it too. Who want to disconnect from the daily grind and reconnect with nature. If you’re in search of adventure, you’ll find it with us.
