Saturday
Arrive in Llangollen ready to check in to your hotel from 15:00. If you require transfers from the airport, train station or ferry port, please do contact us to make arrangements prior to travelling.
Relax for the afternoon and take a stroll around Llangollen’s pretty town centre. Or enjoy the rooftop hot tub at your hotel, which is free for guests before 6pm.
Enjoy a free evening to get ready for your adventures to begin tomorrow!
Sunday
Get set to go canyoning! Climb, scramble, jump and splash your way through the challenging terrain of the Trawsfynedd gorge for a truly fun but physically demanding experience. It’s a full day out with your travel group in a stunning part of North Wales – enjoy the views as together you abseil down waterfalls and leap from rocks into the river below!
This evening we host dinner for you and your group in a local restaurant. How better to get to know each other better than reflecting on today’s memories, while enjoying locally produced food and a few Welsh beers.
Monday
After the physical activity of canyoning and the fun of last night you can enjoy a more relaxed start to your day. Use your free morning to explore more of Llangollen and the surrounding area. If you’re feeling energetic, we highly recommend the hike up to Dinas Bran, a 13th Century castle perched high above the town on the site of an Iron Age hill fort.
Be back in town for 12.30 for the crazy sport of river bugging! Pull on your wetsuit, jump on your bug and paddle off down the beautiful River Dee. Charging headfirst through rapids will really get your adrenaline pumping.
Then kick back and relax, watching the wildlife along the riverbank, before you hold on tight for the next rapids! Enjoy maximum adventure and a unique experience to remember.
Tuesday
Pack your bags, you’re going hiking! Your adventure tour continues with the next two days spent hiking and paddling your way through the beautiful Snowdonia national park.
With a backpack on your back, your guide will take you through epic mountain scenery. Discover the less trodden paths of this famous national park with its iconic peaks and stunning lakes.
This evening you’ll relax in a remote bunkhouse, tucked away at the foot of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales and England. It’s an incredible place to kick back and gaze up at the dark starry night sky in this International Dark Sky Reserve.
Wednesday
After breakfast, it’s time to pack away your kit and say your goodbyes. After four days of exhilarating adventures and a night in the national park, you’ll have appeased your inner adventurer. For a little while at least!
Hop back on the minibus and don’t forget this last chance to swap details with your new travel mates as we head back to the tour start location, from where you can make your way back home.
