Designed as a self-drive tour and also perfect as a private group adventure. Please use the enquiry form to check availability for your preferred dates.

Day 1

Arrive in Betws-y-Coed, the gateway to Snowdonia National Park, ready to check in to your hotel from 15:00. If you require transfers from the airport, train station or ferry port, please do contact us to make arrangements prior to travelling.

Take the afternoon to relax. Your hotel is situated in the picturesque Alpine-style village centre, positioning you perfectly for a potter around the pretty streets or why not take a wander along the banks of the idyllic River Conwy.

Your welcome meeting will take place before dinner for you and your family. How better to get to know the rest of your group while enjoying locally produced food as you look forward to sharing experiences with other like-minded travellers and watch your family connect with new friends.

Day 2

Get ready, you’re going canyoning! Climb, scramble, jump and splash your way through the challenging terrain of a hidden river gorge for a truly fun but physically demanding experience. It’s a full day out in a stunning part of North Wales – enjoy the views as together you abseil down waterfalls and leap from rocks into the river below!

Enjoy a free evening with your family in Betws-Y-Coed, winding down after the physical activity of canyoning.

Day 3

After a hearty breakfast and a short transfer put on your wetsuit, jump on your raft and head off for a morning of whitewater rafting. The Tryweryn river is a famous dam release rafting location in Wales. Ride upper Tryweryn’s natural, Welsh mountain whitewater rapids in an adrenaline fuelled morning.

Back in Betws-y-Coed you can enjoy the remainder of your afternoon exploring more of the village and the surrounding area. Why not take a walk up to Llyn Elsi or peruse the village gift shops before you enjoy a free evening.

Optional activity:

As always we like to offer something extra to do in the afternoon. It means you’re in control of tailoring your adventure to be as full-on as you want to make it. This afternoon’s activity is not for the faint-hearted – but then you wouldn’t be on this adventure tour if you weren’t up for a kick of adrenalin, would you!

You’re in the home of the world’s fastest and Europe’s longest zipline, where you can fly through the air at speeds of over 160kph! It’s exhilaration in its purest form. Hurtle headfirst over the old slate quarry, now a vast blue lagoon, and lay claim to having done the world’s fastest zipline. Spaces fill fast so book quickly.
Cost: £100 per person

Day 4

Pack your bags, you’re going on a real adventure! Your family adventure tour continues with the next two days spent on a remote private island. We’ll take a short transfer to our coastal hop-off point for the island. Where you’ll board a RIB boat to take you over to your private island retreat.

Enjoy the fresh sea breeze as you cross the water to arrive on your very own island. Spend the afternoon exploring this incredible wildlife haven before settling down for the night with a hearty dinner in our small bothy-style cottage.

Day 5

Wake up to the peaceful sounds of rolling waves, enjoy a wholesome breakfast and take a stroll around the island. A wildlife lover’s dream; the remote island is home to thousands of nesting birds including Guillemot, Razorbills and Cormorants, as well as the rare Chough. There is also a unique population of black rabbits on the island, believed to have been bought over from France many years ago! Venture down to the island’s lower shores where seals can be spotted lounging on the rocks and bobbing around in the ocean.

It’s now time to leave our wildlife idyll as we hop aboard the RIB boat and head back to the mainland. Here you can enjoy some free time to spend in the bustling coastal town before we depart for our next location, Trearddur Bay, with its charming seaside hotel. Time to appreciate the luxury of a hot shower and a comfy bed!

Day 6

After a tasty breakfast, it’s time to pop your wetsuit on and take to the water – this time by kayak! Kayak, meaning ‘man boat’, were boats originally used for hunting. Now they are repurposed as one of the best ways to explore the coast and appreciate wildlife up close.

As you paddle along the stunning and varied Anglesey coastline, keep an eye out for the resident Atlantic seal population. Peregrine Falcons, Cormorants and Shags are also common sights.

After your morning activities, you can take the afternoon at your own leisure. Take a walk around the town or grab some fish and chips to eat on the beach.

Day 7

Enjoy a free morning to relax and explore the shops and cafes of Trearddur Bay. Take a walk along the sandy beach or visit a nearby attraction such as South Stack RSPB.

This afternoon get ready to jump, climb, scramble and swim your way along the coastline of Anglesey! Coasteering combines the best of rock and water-based activities, and North Wales offers one of the best coasteering experiences you can find. Scramble across rocks, get swirled around in the water and climb tough walls as far as you can before crashing back into the waves.

It’s a truly exhilarating experience and a fantastic way for you to get up close and personal with the rocky Welsh coast for your final day of adventure.

Day 8

It’s the last morning of your family adventure holiday, so it’s time to pack your case and look back on the great week of new adventures and memories you’ll have to take home with your family.
